Danielle Naomi Nakayama was born Dec. 20th, 2001 At St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange County California. Her parents are Bridgett and Ted. She has an older brother, Dylan who is 3 years older.
Danielle was a late starter into the gymnastic world at the age of 8 but climbed up the levels quickly. She was at Gym-Max Gymnastics in Costa Mesa, Ca from Level 5 until earlier this year. During the time at Gym-Max, she was Level 6 State All Around Champion, Level 7 State Floor Champion and Level 8 Regional All Around Champion.
She experienced a few years of setbacks due to injuries from Osgood Schlatter issues related to her growth in both of her knees and also untimely minor injuries right before the competition seasons. However, she never had to have any surgery and is healthy going into her senior year in high school.
Gymnastics have taught her great work ethics as she is a great student as well.
Danielle is currently 5’2″ in height.
She hopes to continue her gymnastics career in College. She feels she has not yet hit her full potential and look forward to continue to improve as a gymnast.
